This morning I did something I haven't done since the first day of school back in August. I walked the kids to school! Well, not all the way to school. They are in middle school after all. What 8th or 6th grader would be cool with their mom walking them right up to the door? I said goodbye across the street. I even offered a hug and a kiss, but they weren't cool with that.
Instead of walking straight home, I walked to a nearby park. We'd driven by this park many times, but had never stopped to take a look. I can't find a lot of information about this park, but it seems to be sponsored by the local Rotary Club. There are a few sculptures scattered throughout the park and it sits along a small brook.
With at least four Dunkin Donuts within walking distance of our house, I decided to stop and get a pumpkin white chocolate latte and a pumpkin muffin for breakfast. I need to do some pumpkin baking of my own.
I'm not a huge fan of Dunkin Donuts. Living in New England it's hard to find any other coffee. Dunkin Donuts is EVERYWHERE! I grew up LOVING Dunkin Donuts. That was back when they had DONUTS and nothing but DONUTS! Out here it's all about the coffee. Have you had their coffee? (I'm talking straight up coffee.) It's not good! Yet people drink it. Everywhere you go, people have a Dunkin Donuts cup in their hand.
Anyway....Hopefully I can keep up the walking. This body needs it!
