the Hotel

34 days

17 hours and

8 minutes ago we arrived at the Best Western Granite Inn in New Hampshire.

We park in the same spot every day.

We enter and exit these two doors many times every day.

We take the dog out to the same spot every day.

We eat the same "deluxe" continental breakfast every day.

Pinterest has become my best friend.  I've pinned and pinned home decor ideas, but more importantly, I've found many microwave dinner recipes.  Including this one for:

Microwave Mediterranean Chicken Couscous.

I don't think the kids were fans, but it was quite tasty.

Best of all has been the recipe for microwave cake from Duncan Hines.

3-2-1 Microwave Cake.
Not a very pretty picture, but the kids ate all the chocolate cake, so I had to go with the Funfetti!

I've complained loud and long about this hotel, but I thank the Lord we have a roof over our heads and a place to "cook" so we aren't having to go out to eat every night.

I'll thank the Lord even more in a couple weeks when we close on our very own house and have room to run around.  Appliances to cook real meals in.  A fridge bigger than a small child.  My own bed.  A trash can bigger than a toaster.  A front porch to sip coffee on...

  1. Hotel living always sounds fun and vacationy....until it isn't ♫♪

  2. You're brave!! Nice that you're making an adventure of it!

  3. You are way more creative than I am with a microwave!!! I know what you mean about eating out all the time. I really get sick of it. We are in the process of selling our house and buying one out of state. I'll be glad when this process gets done with!!!

  4. so...will this be your final spot? I mean New Hampshire, not the hotel :o)

Looking forward to seeing what lies ahead for all of you :o)

    Blessings & Aloha!
Thank you for visiting our home :o) And yes, if ever you decide on a drawing of your home, I would love to do it :o)

  5. Best wishes on the new house and keep enjoying the adventure! Your attitude says everything about this journey you are on!

  6. You are one courageous chick! I'm be depressed I'm sure! Can't wait until you close. :)

  7. I agree on the creative with the microwave.
I can't wait for you to get into your new home and really let those creative juices flow!!

  8. I am so following you on pinterest! Some day when we buy a house I need creative and decorating-y people like you to tell me what to do with it.

  9. You are a trooper Monica!

I admire your positive attitude through every situation.

The only bad things about moving into your own house will be the end of the premade breakfast.

Okay. And, yeah. Maybe someone else washing the towels and bedding!

    Hope you get settled soon!

    Hugs and A+
