the Hotel

34 days

17 hours and

8 minutes ago we arrived at the Best Western Granite Inn in New Hampshire.

We park in the same spot every day.

We enter and exit these two doors many times every day.

We take the dog out to the same spot every day.

We eat the same "deluxe" continental breakfast every day.

Pinterest has become my best friend.  I've pinned and pinned home decor ideas, but more importantly, I've found many microwave dinner recipes.  Including this one for:

Microwave Mediterranean Chicken Couscous.

I don't think the kids were fans, but it was quite tasty.

Best of all has been the recipe for microwave cake from Duncan Hines.

3-2-1 Microwave Cake.
Not a very pretty picture, but the kids ate all the chocolate cake, so I had to go with the Funfetti!

I've complained loud and long about this hotel, but I thank the Lord we have a roof over our heads and a place to "cook" so we aren't having to go out to eat every night.

I'll thank the Lord even more in a couple weeks when we close on our very own house and have room to run around.  Appliances to cook real meals in.  A fridge bigger than a small child.  My own bed.  A trash can bigger than a toaster.  A front porch to sip coffee on...

  3. You are way more creative than I am with a microwave!!! I know what you mean about eating out all the time. I really get sick of it. We are in the process of selling our house and buying one out of state. I'll be glad when this process gets done with!!!

  9. You are a trooper Monica!

I admire your positive attitude through every situation.

The only bad things about moving into your own house will be the end of the premade breakfast.

Okay. And, yeah. Maybe someone else washing the towels and bedding!

    Hope you get settled soon!

    Hugs and A+
