Have Your Cake and Eat it Too!

I'm sure you've seen those Rainbow Cakes that are all over the place online right now.  Right?  You haven't?  Well, WHERE have you been hiding?!  They are EVERYwhere!

This is what I'm talking about:

Ok, so that's only three, but that's enough to give you an idea.  They really are everywhere and I've been wanting to make one forever.  But I don't want to be like everyone else.  I want to make it my own. 

So, being the lover of fall that I am...  No, really, I am!  Aren't you?  Summer is OVER.  The temperatures are cooling.  The leaves are changing...

In honor of the fast (I hope) approaching fall, I bring you....

Autumn Rainbow Cake!

Two white cake mixes and lots of delicious fall color.

Caramel frosting in between layers.

A crumb coat of chocolate frosting, then in the fridge.  Back out a while later for more frosting and here you have it:

Isn't it cool?  I'm so excited!  Oh, imagine it in Christmas colors!!!
