Here she is looking all pretty - before the nasty wind got hold of her hair!
As a nominee for Student of the Year, she got a free kids' meal at Applebee's. After graduation we went to Applebee's for her free meal only to find out they'd changed Family Night to Tuesday and kids' meals were only $.99!! We'll save the free meal for another night.
Here's Jenny with her principal.
Here's the graduate!

I remember when we had a ceremony from 9th grade to 10th because that's when we officially moved to the highschool, which was a big deal. I can understand how important such a promotion would be to a 5th grader, if she/he is going to a new school. Congrats!

Congrats! She looks wonderful! Next year will be a big change for her.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your Jenny! I taught 5th grade for 23 years and I loved that curriculum. In AZ our kids are in elementary school until 6th grade, then they go to middle school for 7 & 8 and then on to high school. Jenny will enjoy her new friends and experiences.

ReplyDeletestudent of the year! wow!! Yes, leaving the elementary school for what we used to call "junior high" is a big deal! Congrats. Jenny! {:-D
ReplyDeleteShe does look very pretty, and her dress is darling.
ReplyDeleteGood job, Jenny!

So cute...we have fifth grade graduation in 2 weeks over here! I agree seems silly...but we also have kindergarten, 8th grade and high school to attend.
ReplyDeleteFifth grade graduation does seem different! But why not! Celebrate all the accomplishments when they come around!
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute! It must be the name!
