Whole Wheat Bread

WHOLE WHEAT BREAD - a recipe from grandma's collection

Sometimes it's fun making bread without using the bread machine.

This bread made great toast!

  3. Ah memories...my mother baked bread as light as a feather and so delicious. She could not bake a pie because the crust would turn out like a concrete brick! Me too! Inherited her lack of pie expertise! Hee Hee! I so love a slice of tasty bread. Thanks for sharing.

  7. Yummy. I enjoy pounding and kneading the dough and punching it down after it's risen. I like the magic that happens when I open the oven. Voila! Bread.

  9. Oh, how great to have hand written recipe cards ! I watched my Grandma and helped her cook and bake but never wrote anything down. The smell of freshly baked baked bread, rolls and desserts brings back so many precious memories !!!
