We'll be spending Thanksgiving at home (just the 7 of us) for the first time in a long time this year. In the past several years we've had Thanksgiving at friends' (2005).
We've had friends come to our home.
2006
2007
We spent Thanksgiving at a castle in Austria with my parents.
2008
We spent Thanksgiving with our church family.
2009
Last year it was the 7 of us and many other random people at the Lawrence Welk Resort in Branson, Missouri.
2010
This year we'll celebrate at home in a little town in New Mexico. Our pastor (from Italy) and dear friend shared this verse in a devotional this morning:
Philippians 1:3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.
We are so thankful for all our friends and family and wish we could be celebrating with you all today.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Linking up to Alphabe-Thursday.
Its lovely to read that faith is in there
ReplyDeleteSometimes staying home is the best way to celebrate. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteSounds like lots of fun memories made each year!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun pictures and Thanksgiving memories! Some times it's nice to be home though too. Each year and celebration is precious. Thanks so much for sharing yours.
ReplyDeleteWe don't celebrate Thanksgiving, we eat our turkey on Christmas, as our ancestors didn't take the Mayflower, lol !
ReplyDeleteAh, those first two pictures made me all teary eyed! Those were two of our most memorable Thanksgivings. We even chatted about them this year as we were preparing for the day. We were home, just the 5 of us, this year too. It was strange because we always seem to have some kind of adventure to share in the fun. However, the day was quiet and peaceful...no stress. It was a nice change but hopefully not like that every year. :) When are you coming to MO!? I am going to write you an email NOW!
ReplyDeleteOh, those sweet kids of yours! It makes me smile to see their distinctive personalities!
ReplyDeleteJust think...in a few years this will become one of the 'memorable' ones!
Happy Thanksgiving...a teensy bit late!
