Never Fail Cupcakes

I can't believe I haven't shared a "recipe" since the letter "E"!  I finally got around to making one of grandma's recipes again yesterday.

NEVER FAIL CUPCAKES - A recipe from grandma's collection

I don't know that I'd call them "never fail".  But they weren't bad.  Oh, and I was out of shortening, so I used coconut oil!

I couldn't have plain cupcakes, so I frosted them.  I just used canned chocolate frosting since I didn't feel like making my own.

These cupcakes would be great with chocolate chips!  Hey, the more chocolate, the better!

  1. I love cupcakes and am the cupcake queen! When the kids were small, I was always recruited to make the cupcakes for all events at their school! The kids loved them! You can never go wrong with chocolate. Enjoy the weekend, we are in the middle of a snowy blast and possible blizzard still to come! I am stocked up on good things to eat and have a stack of books to read! Enjoy! Thanks for posting and stop by,my post is in two parts! But the link will just go to the second one so read the first as well and have a blessed weekend.

  2. I'm supposed to be losing weight. These delicious looking wee buns (as we call them in Northern Ireland) look just too tempting, I think I can even smell that fresh out of the oven aroma.
