In 2001 before moving from England back to the states, we visited Scotland for a few days.  Our favorite was a visit to Edinburgh Castle.

  1. I love Edinburgh Castle! I went to Edinburgh when I first moved to the UK 8 years ago and it had such a profound affect on me. I remember sitting in a park looking up at the Castle and being awestruck! I love how the castle seems to grow right out of the rocks. It's beautiful. I've been back to Edinburgh a couple of times since and the Castle never fails to amaze me. Thanks for posting the photos. :-)

    Merry Christmas!

  2. Great pix, we've never visited Edinburgh but it is on my bucket list!

  3. How impressive! You captured that impressiveness so well!

  4. It's beautiful. Reminds me of a place we visited in Ireland; an old castle and church on a hill. A BIG hill, like this! {:-Deb

  5. It's on our to-do-list visiting Edinburgh.
    Great photos.

  6. Oh. How exquisite. I am attempting to paint a 'castle-like' sign and right now I'm thinking I shouldn't bother.

    This is incredibly exquisite.

    Love, loved this link!

    Happy New Year and...

    of course...
