Autumn Colors in Candy

So, Jenny's Alphabe-Thursday round 3 is over.  Right now I'm taking part in Alphabe-Thursday "Fall Break", then in a couple weeks, onto round 4.  This week's theme is

Autumn Colors

I've mentioned before how much I love Candy Corn.  Well, last week my friend, Amy from Learning to Be an Oak Tree, talked about some treats she made for the band at her son's school.  She said it's "an essential October treat".  And I had never heard of it!  Are you ready??

Candy corn and roasted salted peanuts!  Seriously, it's GOOD!
But wait.  It gets better!  My friend, Carol from Around Our House, said it's better if you add Reese's Pieces!  You know I HAD to run to the store!

Isn't it pretty? All those Autumn Colors mixed together like that?

Let me just reach in and get some...I might even share.

It looks so nice on my white leaf plate.  I don't think there's enough for more than just me though.

You're going to have to get your own.

So so yummy.

Am I the only one that's never heard of this???

This MIGHT even beat out the pumpkin muffins I made the other day!

You're going to go buy some now, aren't you??

For more Autumn Colors, go check out Alphabe-Thursday's Fall Break at Jenny's!

  3. What a yummy little treat. I love candy corn, but it sooo sweet. Adding the nuts is a great idea!

  4. I'm a fan of candy corn, too. But, I have not heard of this concotion. It does sound tasty, though. I would consider doing it, but I have plans to make a batch of home-made caramels, as well as caramel corn by the end of the month. Thanks for sharing!

  6. This is so fantastic...jelly beans are my favorite in the springtime (well spicy ones all the time) but these candy corns are my most favorite in the autumn, well any time too really, and especially when you eat them layer by layer, first the top and on down the candy!
