My "friend" Nola

I have a new friend!  Her name is Nola and she arrived in the mail last week.

{Nola?  I don't know.  It just came to me.  I think I've been listening to too much Harry Connick Jr.}

I was so excited to take her out of the box and fix her up!

Isn't she pretty?  Kind of plain though.  I pulled out the scrapbook paper and Mod Podge and got to work.

{She came out kind of bright, so I brushed on & wiped off some watered down black paint...and got a little too much around her eye and nose!}

Now I can use her to display some things I plan to (very soon) sell on Etsy.

I think for now, since she has a bit of a creepy look, I'm going to hide her in Taylor's room somewhere so she finds her the night she comes home from camp.
