D is for Dresser!

When I went to pick up this bike a few weeks ago, the guy I bought it from told us he was moving and needed to sell EVERYTHING! He had this old Dresser sitting out in his SHED with a heavy tool box and other junk on top of it. All the drawers were full of junk. Telephone cords, all kinds of cables, Crayola water colors, newspaper articles. Tons of junk! He said we could have everything for $30, so we bought it thinking maybe we could use it for Joey. But no way was it coming in the house in this condition...

I didn't get a full before shot cuz I had the wrong lense on the camera, but here's most of it. I was in the middle of sanding it when I took these, so the right side has been sanded, the left side not.

You can see how nasty the top was...It wasn't smelling too nice either.

Here's what the drawers slide on.

I primed and painted and painted some more. (We live near a golf course and Joey collects golf balls in case you wondered why there were a bunch in the drawer!)

Here's my failed attempt at using Mod Podge to add paper to the inside of the drawer. (Still have to fix this!) Instead I painted the drawers.

Then I added knobs...Cuz after the scorpion incident who wants to reach up under the drawer to open it. There could be a scorpion hanging out up in there!!!

Head on over to Jenny's blog to see more of Alphabe Thursday!
