Is it too late for a Valentine post?

I don't really get all the hype about Valentine's Day. Sure, it's all about love and I LOVE my family...but it's all about money too! Buy flowers, buy jewelry, buy chocolate. Ok...there's nothing wrong with buying chocolate! Buy Valentine's cards...Um, no. I can't. I can't and I won't. We have to make them. But why? Why do I do this every year? We wait till the last minute and end up spending forever on them.

...But in the end, they still end up looking kinda cute. Even if I did use crummy scrapbook paper that I'm just trying to get rid of! And all I had to buy was a bag of Dum Dum lollipops!
(These were perfect too, since that's what I think of the day!)

These have been all over the internet and we did them last year too. But, since we are in another country I thought it'd be ok to do them again! This is what Jenny gave her class.

This is what she did for her teacher.

Joey decided he didn't want to have a picture of himself (he did it last year), so we made these.

This one was for his teacher.

What a mess. I did get to use my Cricut though and my new Mini Monsters cartridge!

This is what I made the husband. I saw something like it online and thought it was funny. Thought he would like it too. He saw it and said, "What's this frame for?" He thought the print was something that came with the frame and wondered what I was going to put in the frame in it's place!

  1. Oh my gosh! Those are so cute! Jenny's photo turned out great! Better than others I've seen online. And those Monsters are adorable. I kinda sorta miss doing this stuff. My 13 yr old looked at me like I was a bezerkazoid freak when I asked him if he wanted to make Valentines. Shhh...he did make one for me and surprise me with it though! ;)

    Jenny is gorgeous BTW.
