Super Simple Taco Soup

I found this recipe online here: Duggar's Taco Soup . It is so easy to make. Just cut up an onion, brown some ground turkey with the onion,

open a bunch of cans and add the contents to pot,

throw in some seasonings and add some water and you have soup! And it is GOOD soup!

If you go to the website for the recipe you'll notice it's HUGE. If you've heard of the Duggar family, you'll know they are a HUGE family. I am just feeding a family of 7 (I know. Also a HUGE family in some people's eyes!), so I had to divide by 3 or we'd be eating soup for a week!

The Duggar's Taco Soup (divided by 3)

1 lb ground turkey
1 med. onion, chopped (that's what it says for the BIG recipe, but I kept it the same)
1(4oz) can chopped green chilis
1 t salt
1/2 t pepper
1 pkg taco seasoning
1 pkg ranch dressing mix
1 can hominy, undrained
3(14oz) cans diced tomatoes, undrained
1(15oz) can kidney beans, undrained
2(15oz) cans pinto beans, undrained
1 1/2 - 1 3/4 cups water

Brown turkey with onion. Stir in remaining ingredients. Brint to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips, grated cheddar cheese and sour cream.

  1. Hi Monica,
First of all, I love your banner at the top! It's been awhile since I've visted blogs & I'm trying to play catch-up. The soup looks like something my husband would like. I love your subway art canvas (& no, I didn't know that was Disneyland's address!) :o) Your little end table turned out really cute. I made a bunch of those cake plates for a craft sale & they sold like crazy! I think I saw that blog you were talking about, but I can't remember what the name is either. Loved the idea then & I like the way your turned out! You've been really busy.
    Have a great weekend.
    Hugs,
    Mardell
